As we approach the end of the calendar year and look ahead to spending time with family and friends over Christmas, we first would like to take some time to share our highlights of 2024 with you.

At the start of the year, we hosted four successful seminars for our clients. We covered important topics such as inflation, interest rates, and what a year full of global elections could mean for financial markets and your financial plans.

We expanded our video content with our new series “Insightful Planning with Astute”, bringing new faces to the screen to share valuable insights with you. We launched these videos on our new YouTube channel, where we reached over 15,000 views!

It has been a year of learning and growth, as colleagues across the business enriched their skills by completing various financial qualifications. These include long-term care qualifications to support our vulnerable clients, regulations and ethics exams, the specifics of trusts and financial analyst qualifications.

6 months ago, after careful planning, preparation and due diligence, we launched our very own investment platform – a big step forward for us as a business. You’ll hear more about this in 2025!

Team members across the business advanced into more senior positions, including 2 of our colleagues who graduated from our in-house adviser academy and became chartered financial planners. We welcomed 9 new team members to our business across our Liverpool and Ewloe offices, celebrated 3 new babies, 1 wedding and lots of house moves!

Towards the end of the year, we were named as one of Citywire’s Top 100 Financial Planning firms in the UK for another year running! Not only that, but our Chief Investment Officer Dr. Scott Osborne was voted in the top 100 wealth managers in the UK.

Most importantly, you continued to trust us to look after your financial future. We’re proud to be managing £1bn of your assets and remain committed to delivering the best advice and service for you, our clients.

Across the year we made time to give back. We held lots of charity days, quizzes, challenges for our directors and physical challenges such as Tough Mudder and a team walk in the Clwydian Range, all to raise money for Parkinsons UK and Tiny Stars, our chosen charities for 2024. One of our directors, Neil Ransome, even climbed to Everest Base Camp with his family!

It has been a brilliant year for us all at Astute Private Wealth, and we’re looking forward to all that we have planned for 2025.
